It's crazy that I've already (only) been writing affecionada for eight months! Now that there are more of you stopping by and saying hello, (and a massive thank you to those who do! Engaging with you is my favorite part of all.) I thought I'd do a fun, getting to know you -type post. You can also read more here! Vogue do a segment on YouTube called 73 Questions, and though the guests' responses are rehearsed, I enjoy watching it! I've compiled the questions and written my responses below. What's the best thing that happened to you this month? I canoed for the first time in this gorgeous setting.
What's the best thing that happened to you today? (Yesterday, by the time you read this.) Luna pranced over to me when I got home from work.
What's the best thing ever? Scalp massages.
What's your favorite season? Fall.
What's your favorite holiday? Christmas!
Do you like surprises? No!
What's your favorite dessert? The summer fresh fruit tart from Pastiche, the honey lavender cupcake or mocha with espresso buttercream cupcake at The Duck & Bunny, home-baked mint chocolate chip cookies...the list goes on and on!
Is there a dessert you don't like? Fudge, anything with caramel or white chocolate.
What's your favorite food? I can't go too long without Korean food, pizza and pasta are life staples, I also love sushi, fresh seafood, and Indian cuisine...but I might have to go with Mexican.
What's your least favorite food? I didn't eat much chicken growing up and I'm not crazy about bananas.
What's the weirdest thing that you've ever eaten? Uni is weird to eat -- I love it, though.
What's your favorite condiment? Hot sauce.
It's brunch. What do you eat? Huevos rancheros.
It's 4am on a Saturday night. What would you eat? This would only happen at university, so Nuebies veggie pizza or Gio's buffalo chicken pizza.
What is your favorite pizza? The margherita at Bazzarelli's or just a good New York cheese slice.
Favorite drink? Tea, chai lattes, Fully Rooted cold-pressed juice, Maine Root ginger beer, mango or pineapple Jarritos...the list goes on here, too.
What's your favorite color? Pink (blush, specifically).
What color dress did you wear to your prom? A silvery deep green.
Blow dry or air dry? Air dry, though I love a good blow dry.
Who is your fashion icon? Kate Middleton comes to mind. Not sure if I have one, though.
Who is your favorite superhero? We were asked this at work and I still haven't come up with an answer.
Who is a person or an historical figure you'd love to have coffee with? My dad, but it would be tea for me.
Who is the last person you texted? S, a good friend and former colleague.

What's your spirit animal? Two of my closest girlfriends say a gazelle.
What's your favorite movie of all time? As a child, it was Beauty and the Beast.
Movie you laughed the hardest through? Not a movie, but a live performance of Macbeth that I sat through with my students.

If your life was a song, what would the title be? I'm not clever enough to create my own title. If my life was a song, it would be "Carry On" by Fun or "Dream" by Priscilla Ahn.
Best gift you've ever received? My beautiful Schwinn bike.
Last gift you gave a friend? Toys and treats for my friends' new kittens.
If you could spend three months anywhere, where would it be? Home.
How would you describe your aesthetic? Classic, soft, feminine, minimal. This is a tougher question than I anticipated!
Would you describe yourself as messy or neat? Neat/occasionally messy.
What karaoke song would you sing where you don't need the monitor? I would need the monitor, but Beyonce's "Listen" is my karaoke jam.
What's one skill that you wish you had? Singing, ha!

Who's your favorite musician? Can't! (I'm awful at picking favorites, if it wasn't apparent.)
Favorite lyrics? All my favorite lyrics are about getting lost.
What's the first thing you do each morning? Snooze about ten times.
What's the last thing you do before you go to bed? Most nights, spritz my lavender chamomile pillow spray and then set my alarm.
