A Hydrating Face Cream for Cold Weather: Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream
If you follow me on Instagram, you might have caught when I shared the Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Fantasy Set I picked up a couple months ago or so on my Stories. I had planned to pick up the Ceramidin Cream, but Olive Young was only carrying it in the set at the time, which turned out to be tremendous value for money!
The set, which was priced the same as the cream on its own, includes the 50ml Ceramidin Cream, a 5ml Cream and Serum, one Facial Mask, a 30ml Body Wash and Body Lotion, a Body Care 3 Step sample, and one of those plastic doodads that squeezes all the product out of the tube (this one is super handy and effective).
My favorite daytime moisturizer that I’ve used for years is Embryolisse's Lait-Crème Concentré, but as I get older, I find that it’s not hydrating enough for cold weather. I’ve been using the Ceramidin Cream as my daily daytime moisturizer throughout these winter months, and my skin has remained hydrated and nourished without a dry patch in sight. Even with regular and generous application (A sometimes uses it, too), there’s plenty of product still in the tube.
The Ceramidin feels more like a thick paste than a cream coming out of the tube, but spreads and sinks into the skin evenly. It has a lemongrassy scent that I’m not crazy about, but it doesn’t linger for long. I’ve been layering it over the Serum on flights, which seems to be the perfect moisturizing combination (even on longer-haul ones).
I’m not sure that it does much else, but it doesn’t do anything I don’t want it to do, and the way that it hydrates and balances my skin is more than worth the price of the cream on its own.
Have you tried Dr. Jart+? What other products do I need to pick up?
