Last weekend, we made it out to Rosecliff, one of the Newport Mansions and the setting of several scenes in The (original) Great Gatsby film. Unfortunately, we had just missed visiting hours, but we were able to explore the grounds (my favorite part, as you may already be aware -- see The Elms here and here, the Green Animals Topiary Garden here and here, and The Breakers). I couldn't get enough of the blue sky and the glow from the late-afternoon sunlight over the property.
I picked up this gorgeous shift dress during the Lilly Pulitzer end-of-summer sale, which was a greater deal than I thought it would be. Curious, I queued online for a short time in the late afternoon and this 'Rosalie', still stocked in all sizes and under $70, caught my attention. I've dreamed of owning a Lilly (and an Equipment silk shirtdress, and a DVF), so I picked this one up without a second thought. This particular style is no longer available, but I adore this current style!
The grounds overlook the Cliff Walk, one of my favorite spots in Rhode Island.
Happy hump day, old sports.
