Happy Monday! Yes, it's the start of another workweek, but the forecast calls for sunshine, which I'm quite looking forward to! Sunday was a cloudy but relatively warm day in New England. A and I made a last-minute decision to stop by Roger Williams Park, where families were celebrating Hallo-weekend and others were playing catch or sitting on benches soaking in their surroundings.
Nothing beats New England fall, with its foliage and festivities!
I pulled out this vibrant, burnt orange First & I poncho to layer over a striped top and jeans. Mine is from the previous fall season, but there's this gorgeous burgundy one, this cable knit one, and this light dove-grey one. You could also drape a blanket scarf, like the one featured here, over your shoulders to wear as a poncho and cinch the waist with a belt.
I've worn these boots every day since they arrived. They are cushioned and comfortable, and relatively affordable. I've received so many compliments on them!
The park has so many nooks and crannies to explore (the structure here being one of my favorites), that you could spend a day wandering through and still not see it all. This time, we parked by this iron footbridge and walked over just in time to see a gaggle of geese float under.
Before we left to run our errands, we stopped by the bank to shoot an obligatory 'throwing a pile of leaves in the air' photo.
A child ogled at me throwing the leaves as he walked by.
I have no shame.
Here's to a week of sunshine! x
