Saturday was a scorcher of a day, so after a morning bike ride and breakfast at a new favorite coffee shop, A and I headed down to the beach.
Rhode Island is for coastal living. My favorite beaches include Easton's Beach along the Cliff Walk and Newport Mansions, Second Beach just down the road, Salty Brine, and East Matunuck, which I remember having the clearest water. East Beach in Watch Hill is an experience - it boasts multimillion-dollar homes, such as T. Swift's, a downtown area with places to dine and shop and a carousel, clean sand and bright blue waves...and generous distribution of parking tickets, though I don't think they mention that on the brochure. (Seriously, there was a $75 parking ticket on the windshield of every car on the street. We played it safe and paid a whopping $35 to park in a lot.) But again, it's an experience, right?
We stayed as the beach emptied and the sun started to set, and spotted this rainbow as we left.
How was your weekend? x
