That's my self-conscious face.
It seems that winter can't make up its mind this year as we enjoyed temperate, spring-like weather in Providence this weekend. We planned to walk around downtown (or downcity) on Saturday and I debated if my faux leather jacket would be enough, but was pleasantly surprised to find I didn't even need it!
Outfit details: J.Crew embellished top, Ann Taylor sweater, Zara jacket, H&M leggings, Chinese Laundry boots
After speed-walking to the post office just in time to ship a package before closing, we strolled to the arcade on Westminster and Weybosset. Inaptly named, the arcade is actually a historic landmark and shopping center with a Greek architectural style.
Pictured above is the inside of New Harvest Coffee & Spirits, one of the arcade's shops. It's a small and cozy joint that doesn't get overcrowded. Our first time here was at night (when the staff are friendlier...just an observation) with a couple of friends. It was also my first time trying moroccan mint tea, which is now possibly my favorite! This time, they were unfortunately out of moroccan, so I had peppermint and split a pretzel and some delicious deli mustard with A, who had a coffee and a beverage. There is a wrap place in the arcade that I'd like to eventually try, but we saved our appetites for our dinner plans that evening.
On our walk home, we happened upon the Malted Barley, which seems to have developed its business model around us - craft beer and gourmet pretzels! I'm looking forward to its opening!
How did you spend your weekend? x
