Fresh Tresses for Spring
"It's not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket." Name that film! Yesterday must have been April 25th because the weather was perfect. A and I spent the day outside as much as possible, opting to walk rather than take the bus the few stops between locations. We had some nice weather last weekend as well, when we both got our hair cut, and we walked from Gangnam to Yangjae before stopping at Cuore Espresso (a new favorite) for sweet treats.
As I get older, the winter months take a bigger toll on my mental and emotional state than I realize. Anyone else experience this? I thought I preferred the cold to heat as I'd always lived in the northeast back home in the States, but now I'm not so sure. I'm still not keen on heat, but I'm leaning towards that end of the spectrum (mostly sunlight--there just needs to be sunlight). The first signs of spring are transformative for me, and even something as simple as cutting off the dead ends of my hair lifts my spirits.
I wear turtlenecks almost exclusively throughout the winter and am welcoming a change. I'm loving the neckline on this striped top (similar here and here) so much that it's inspiring me to experiment with necklines this spring and summer. My mom isn't a fan of v-necks, and I sort of adopted this from her, though they're hard to avoid. Crews are also less interesting. I'll be searching for ballerina-style scoops, cowls, and any other unique lines.
I love a good blazer and have a couple that are okay, until I find the perfect one to invest in. The ruched sleeves and lack of fastening are what caught my eye about this ASOS one. These GRLFRND jeans really do fit to your figure over time and have changed my mind on designer denim (wish my budget would change with it, though).
Happy March! Let me know what's inspiring you for spring. x
