Late Summer Date Night
"I'm taking you on a date." It seems silly to admit that I still get butterflies every time A says this to me. When you live with your significant other, every meal and outing is like a date. And sometimes we end up on a 'date' unintentionally -- I had my eyebrows threaded the other day and then met A at a nearby bar/restaurant where he was waiting. We sat at the bar late enough to order from the dinner menu, and decided that it's one of our new-favorite spots. But there's something special about establishing it as a date before going on it, and I never expect it when A does.
One of my favorite houses in Providence.
And one of my favorite cars.
I picked up this top during Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale along with a few other basics -- this striped long-sleeve top, this cozy cardigan, and these cognac booties. It's a soft ribbed material in a soft ivory with slits down the sides that add a subtle sexiness.
Our date was to celebrate, or in my case mourn, my last day of summer (I went back to work on Tuesday. Lucky A doesn't go back for two more weeks!) and I thought white suited the occasion.
Hope your week is going swell! What's new with everyone? x
