Yesterday, A and I enjoyed the most perfect Sunday together. We left our loft in the late morning and biked downtown to the farmers market to pick up my favorite Apple Pie cold-pressed juice (standard), stopped by the new Tom's BaoBao for a light lunch, headed to the mall to pick up this sweater I've been eying that's now on sale, and ran into Comic-Con along the way. Spending Sunday in our little city lifted my spirits from a dark few days. (Real talk: it was hard to adult this week. It was hard to face my students and be the adult they needed me to be.) The weather was crisp, but the sun was out -- a reminder that the sun will rise in the morning.
I don't often wear clothing with words or phrases. When I do, it's because it brings me joy. This sweater is an old one by Banana Republic that says "The Little Black Sweater." I also have this Kale sweatshirt and love any of the "bien fait" pieces by Madewell.
I'm not a sneaker person, either, but these Nike Free RNs have converted me. They're lightweight, comfortable, and sleek.
On a beauty note, I've been trying to make a dent in my lip product collection and enjoying the process! Here, I'm wearing MAC Lip Pencil in In Synch (the prettiest light pink) and Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Color in Pink Please (which has since been discontinued, yikes). A good dupe for Pink Please is MAC Creme Cup.
I picked up Lancome Hypnose Drama Waterproof on a whim during the Sephora VIB sale (which ends today!) and already can't rave about it enough! It holds a curl and doesn't smudge -- never had I met such a mascara. It takes effort to remove, but that was the point. I listed all the items I picked up here if you need some inspiration (read: enabling) :-). I'll do a round-up/review once all the items arrive.
Looking forward to these next couple of weeks -- my birthday next Monday and Thanksgiving in Chicago the weekend after!
Happy Monday. x
