A good coat is such a staple wardrobe piece. I still remember some of my favorite coats from childhood vividly -- the emerald green coat with a faux-fur collar that my parents bought for me in the city around Christmas time, the black and white quilted and uniquely patterned coat we picked up at a family friend's garage sale, the massive metallic bomber-style down coat that I was embarrassed to wear but was the warmest coat I've ever owned, and then the pink pea coat that I loved to wear because of how feminine and mature it looked.
This pink pea coat reminds me so much of that one, and is under $60! Fully lined and quite thick and warm, I had to pick it up and finally replace my favorite navy one that I'd been wearing since my sophomore year of university.
We strolled along the Waterplace Bridge at the heart of downtown Providence before a dinner of warm Korean food on Westminster Street.
Here's to a rainy weekend of rest!
