In Search of Lost Time
Disclaimer: I haven't read Proust's novel, nor did I recognize the quote from it painted on the brick wall of The Dean Hotel -- I searched it after the fact and thought it made a nice title for this post!
Sunday mornings are a paradox for me. I wake up feeling simultaneously lazy and inspired. Yesterday, I leaned towards inspired. We were up and out in Providence early for a morning date at Bolt Coffee at The Dean. I'm an avid tea and chai drinker, but I opted for an almond milk latte, which meant foam art! I watched the barista create a leaf (for the crisp fall weather) up close for the first time. It's the little things. :-)
This BP striped top is the most cosy top I own and is the perfect length to wear with leggings. This one by the same brand is similar and under $20. I threw on this cardigan for added warmth, which I also love in the burgundy color. Heeled booties are one of my top fall staples. I picked up this pair during the Nordstrom anniversary sale, though they're reasonable even at full-price.
After coffee, we headed to the East Side for a brunch of bagels with lox, cream cheese, onion, and capers. The weather was so lovely that we parked farther than we would otherwise and walked leisurely to each location.
As you're reading this, I'm sailing away with a group of students on a three-night trip on a tall ship! Here's to an adventurous week! x
