Despite the still volatile New England weather, I've stored away my winter clothes and committed to my spring wardrobe of skirts, dresses, and lighter colors and fabrics. This was an impromptu outfit shoot, but turned out to be one of my favorites and a way to share some of my spring workwear essentials with you!
I first featured this vibrant, pink tweed mini skirt in my spring haul. I love a tweed skirt as the fabric is good for transitional months, and the style is classic and Chanel-esque while the pattern and texture keep it interesting. My other, mint tweed skirt is from Ann Taylor, who do quality tweed pieces that you can pick up for a good price on sale.
This scallop oxford is my perfect shirt! I love the feminine touches - the scallop collar and mother of pearl buttons with anchors imprinted. The fabric is light and soft, but not too sheer, and the edges of the shirt where the buttons are lay flat, which is major! It also comes in pretty pastel colors such as blue, pink, yellow, and green.
I rarely accessorize, but would like to more, and have been wearing this statement necklace quite a bit since I purchased it (featured here). I like the way it catches the light and dresses up basic tops. I also like the look of this similar one.
These boot shoes were comfortable from the moment I first put them on. I especially like the neutral nude color and rose gold hardware. Again, they're a good transitional piece as they cover most of your feet, but allow them to breathe.
Have you changed out your wardrobe yet? What are your spring workwear essentials?
