The Faux Shearling Vest
The faux shearling vest is a trend I didn't think I'd buy into until I found this one at a Dillard's while I was down south (see my southern travel posts here, here, and here). It was love at first sight - the minimal zip details, color, and overall quality. It may be too soon to speak of this with there being half a foot of snow on the ground, but I can't wait to wear it over white dresses in the spring!
Much to my dismay, we won't be having a snow day tomorrow, but at least I have an excuse to wear my Hunter boots all week!
Not that I needed an excuse...
A note on the boots
Particularly for my fellow shorties - my Hunters are the 'Original Gloss' in 'Military Red' and I took my regular size 7. I'm just under 5'3" and these hit right below my knees. There is some space between my calf and the boot, even with thicker pants, but I like that they don't fit too snugly.
Mine were a Christmas gift from A, but now knowing how comfortable and durable they are, I can say that I definitely would have invested in them myself! They aren't insulated (though they are waterproof), but a thick pair of socks takes care of that.
