I'm twenty-six today. It's a strange thought! Twenty-six is an age that, when I was younger, I knew I'd someday be, but never expected to actually happen. (My mom likes to remind me that twenty-six is the age she was when she and my dad got married.) It seemed so much older, so far away from how it feels. And yet, here we are.
I'm one of those who celebrates her birthday month, but this year, I was looking forward to a low-key weekend. A planned ways to make it a special one -- a surprise massage appointment after work on Friday followed by dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them on Saturday evening (we both highly recommend the movie, even if you aren't a Harry Potter buff, and especially if you are!), and a delicious fancy meal for brunch on Sunday. We're having dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant tonight, and after a short week, heading to Chicago on Thanksgiving day.

Twenty-six will be an interesting year in terms of life plan, because I don't have one. This both terrifies and excites me. A and I have vague ideas of where we want to be and what we want to do, but other than that, we're just going with it. Hope you'll continue to follow along. :-)
