We thought we'd had our share of weddings after attending one in South Carolina, one in Illinois, and one in Germany last summer, but I suppose it wouldn't be summer without at least one wedding. We didn't have to travel far for this one, though, as it was one of my good friend's in Rhode Island.
Despite the cloudy and unusually chilly weather, it was a beautiful ceremony. The bridal party was dressed in a vibrant coral, the decor was beach-themed with shells strewn across the tables, tea lights floating in water, and messages in bottles, the delicious cake had a pineapple filling, the groom sang a song for my glowing bride-friend, and there was plenty of Spanish dancing into the late evening. It's crazy that I'm at the age when my friends are the ones getting married!
I considered wearing the dress from this post, but ultimately wore my favorite nude DVF lace dress, which is as comfortable as it is beautiful. Because of its quality and classic style, I knew that it would be a worthy investment. It's the perfect dress to wear to a wedding or any other special occasion.
I parted my hair down the middle and loosely curled it with a flat iron. For my base, I wore Charlotte Tilbury's Light Wonder Foundation and Filmstar Bronze & Glow (both products featured here), finished with RMS Beauty Un Powder. On my eyelids, I wore By Terry's Ombre Blackstar in Misty Rock (a gorgeous cream shadow that makes your eyes sparkle) and my signature winged liner using Stila's Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. I curled my lashes and brushed on a few coats of the mascara featured here. On my lips, I unexpectedly wore MAC's Viva Glam Gaga, a blue-toned bubblegum pink that I think complemented the look. For fragrance, I spritzed my favorite Peony & Blush Suede.
Are you attending any weddings this summer? Do you have a go-to look? x
