Long time! I've been itching to post but bogged down with grad projects and student reports. While I still have a few reports to write, most of the weight has been lifted off my shoulders. This weekend was a return to some normalcy--I spent time getting ready Saturday morning, sipping hot chocolate, curling my hair, and even putting on eyeshadow. We headed to the indoor farmers market to pick up my favorite cold-pressed juice (which is out of season in a couple weeks and I'm not sure how I'll survive...let's pretend I'm not as annoying as I sound), did our grocery shop early, and snapped these photos at Garden City, where I picked up a miniature of my favorite Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm (cutest set and perfect for travel! See my full review here).
Garden City is an outdoor shopping center, and is decked out in decorations for the holiday season! This gazebo is at the heart of the center, and next to it was a small pop-up cabin where young families were lined up to take a photo with Santa. It was such a nice day to be bundled up and out and about, and the bustle of shoppers and Christmas music playing throughout the shops put me in festive spirits!
This Fashion Union sweater is the perfect oversized sweater (I'm wearing a size 2). I love the pale pink color, the knit pattern, and the soft and cosy material. It's the type of sweater you can tuck your hair into, and it's only $43! I topped it off with this blanket scarf in gorgeous cool-toned shades, which is also soft, thick, and warm. I love the look of layered patterns and textures for fall and winter. You can see other ways I wear blanket scarves here and here.
Some beauty bits to share--I rediscovered this lipstick by Revlon in Primrose, a gorgeous mauve-y pink in a comfortable and long-wearing formula. Pain Au Chocolat is a recent favorite taupe eyeshadow with a shimmer finish. OPI Tiramisu For Two is my perfect nude nail polish. I picked up the T3 Twirl during the Sephora VIB sale and have been loving curling my hair with it. Will give a full review when I post my haul, but for now, it's a game changer. I highly recommend it!
Hope you all have a lovely start to your week! x
